We often hear of the Federal Reserve program of Quantitative Easing but few of us understand what it really means. In this talk we will discuss the Federal Reserve, review its history and its mandates over US fiscal policy and employment. We will explain why and how it has embarked on a program of "Quantitative Easing". What sets apart this program from all previous programs from the FED is the acquisition of "Mortgage Backed Securities", or MBSs. We will explore the possible repercussions of the program and the danger for the US dollar and our liberties this program creates.
Ann Marie Banfield is one of New Hampshire's most knowledgeable experts in the field of education. Mrs. Banfield is the Education Liaison for Cornerstone Action, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving New Hampshire’s traditional values, limited government, and free markets through education, information, and advocacy. Working with experts in education from across the country, she has accumulated a vast knowledge of our education system.
Mrs. Banfield will discuss/compare many of the different programs that are being implemented in schools across our state, country and around the world, including Singapore Math vs. Everyday Math, International Baccalaureate (IB), Common Core Standards and Outcome Based Education (OBE).
She has spent the last few years working with legislators in Concord, and advocating for educational policy that focuses on the most important aspects of educating our children, and she will share her valuable insight into the problems and successes of our current education system.
The meeting will be held at the Windham Senior Center, 2 North Lowell Road, Windham. The meeting is free and open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to attend.
The May 8th meeting of the Southern NH 9.12 group will focus on a topic that will impact nearly half of all Americans in their lifetime – Cancer. This unfortunate reality is even more devastating when the news is about your child.
Mark Lutter will share with us the heart wrenching journey and decisions that he and his wife had to make after learning last year that their two year old daughter, Alexa, was diagnosed with Brain Cancer. The surgery had numerous complications and Alexa spent 6 months in 3 different hospitals. Every day was a new learning experience. In hindsight the parents wished they could have made some different decisions.
Mark is haunted by the fact that many of their decisions were made without knowing all of the available options. It is his desire to educate others, and to share why some of their decisions would have been different had they known then, what they know now.
This meeting is free and open to the public, snacks and refreshments will be served, and everyone is encouraged to attend.
Dave Kopacz, Sr. will discuss ICLEI, which stands for the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives. This is a program that was created under the UN's Agenda 21 program -- with the intent to undermine many of the values that we enjoy and embrace as Americans... personal property, education, parental rights, etc...
If you have heard the terms "sustainable development", "global warming", "public-private partnerships", then you are aware of some of the multitude of Agenda 21 programs that are being implemented around us on a daily basis.
Mr. Kopacz is a municipal Conservation Agent, Chair of the Conservation Commission and Chair of his town's Open Space and Recreation Committee. He is an expert in the field of conservation. Please make time to come and learn more about ICLEI at the Windham Senior Center on April 10th at 7pm. You will feel your time was well spent.

Each new session brings with it controversial bills that are discussed and debated by both parties and this year is no different... with the Voter ID Bill that was vetoed by Governor Lynch last year, and will be re-introduced this year.
After a sting operation on January 10th showed just how easy it is to cast a vote for a dead person, Governor Lynch has indicated that he will change his position on this issue and sign a voter ID bill into law to ensure the integrity of our election process.
Representatives Bates and Okerman will share their thoughts on this and other bills that are making their way through the NH House of Representatives. This promises to be a very informative meeting of the Southern NH 9.12 Project. Everyone is welcome to attend, and this meeting is free and open to the public.

It's easy for many Americans to take for granted the freedoms that our founding fathers and veterans have fought and died for.
But not for Lumi Post, who grew up in communist Romania while living through oppressive conditions that she will never forget. The Southern NH 9.12 group has arranged for Lumi to come to Windham and share her intimate experiences of growing up and living under communist control.
