One of the smaller investors in Solyndra warned in December 2009 that the Energy Department didn’t seem “well-equipped to decide which companies should get the money and how much.” He noted that a solar company he had invested in, an apparent reference to Solyndra, received a loan of more than half a billion dollars, despite having no profits and revenue of less than $100 million.

According to ABC, a top Obama fund raiser named Steven J. Spinner worked to “pick and select fantastic projects” for DOE to fund. He “helped oversee more than $100 billion of loan guarantees and direct lending authority” for DOE’s green-energy lending program.  His wife's (Allison's) law firm Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati got $2.4 million in legal fees to handle the legal work in connection with the Solyndra loan.  There's more you should know...

Obama bundler and major Solyndra backer George Kaiser, explained it this way in a July 2009 speech in Tulsa: “There has never been more money shoved out of the government’s door in world history and probably never will be again than in the last few months and the next 18 months. And our selfish, parochial goal is to get as much of it for Tulsa and Oklahoma as we possibly can.”

Top economic advisors to President Obama warned him a year ago about the serious political and financial risks of the Energy Department’s loan guarantee program that has resulted in taxpayers likely being responsible for the loss of $527 million loaned to the politically-connected California solar firm Solyndra.

The Obama State Department and a George Soros-funded organization calling itself Global Integrity have launched an “Open Government” international initiative.  The new "Open Government Partnership" project was announced on Tuesday at the United Nations by President Obama and Brazil’s President Dilma Rouseff, a former Marxist terrorist.

The Obama administration changed the official U.S. position on the coming U.N. Arms Trade Treaty to impose restrictions on law-abiding gun owners from strong, unwavering opposition, to support for the treaty if passed by “consensus.” And in a 2010 speech, his under secretary for arms control told the audience: “We will work between now and the U.N. Conference in 2012 to negotiate a legally binding arms trade treaty, and we’ll need your help in achieving it. We have made that a fundamental policy commitment.”

Under the bill’s authority, states are not immune from federal prosecution if they “violate” the act. In the event this bill passes, it will override a state’s sovereign authority as defined and protected under the 11th amendment:  Buried on page 133 of the bill, it states:

SEC. 376. FEDERAL AND STATE IMMUNITY.

(a)    Abrogation of State Immunity- A State shall not be immune under the 11th Amendment to the Constitution from a suit brought in a Federal court of competent jurisdiction for a violation of this Act.
